collection a day keeps the doctor away
Have you heard about the blogger who is photographing and showing one of her collections per day for a year?
Kind of like a 'crazed collector's' version of cooking Julia Child's recipes for a year.
Here are a few of my favourites....

You can check her out at collectionaday2010.blogspot.com. Maybe if I photographed some of my collections I could actually purge them afterward...something to think about!

Except for books (like day 66), vintage prints and photos, I try not to collect too many things. At least, I try not to. But I was fascinated by this collection-a-day-blogger.
I do agree with a previous commenter: day 107 collection is a bit much.
Recipes, recipes, recipes (it’s a sickness), family photos, vintage Christmas tree decorations, vintage water goblets, Limoge Wedding Band china, anything that reminds me of Provence, Lego (that’s from my son), dust and grey hairs.
Over the years I have collected bunny rabbits (porcelain, wood, knit, pictures, stuffed, silver etc.) Limoges boxes, Interior Design books (old and new), and antique silver dressing table sets. I’ve stopped now, as it tires me to see so much “stuff” around. I think I am in my “purging” stage. I did, however, enjoy those days of finding (without even really looking for) some of the treasures I have, but IMO there really are some things that just should NOT be collected…..Day 107 for example

This post got me thinking. Hmmm, who has 365 collections? Then I wondered how many collections do I have? Vintage linens, (and there are subsets - tea towels, napkins, runners, tablecloths, pillowcases, luncheon squares) Glassybaby (blown glass votives), Trixie Belden books, cookbooks, vintage canning jars, grosgrain ribbon, sock stretchers, vintage clothes pegs, Air Canada serving trays, Blue Mountain Pottery vases, other pottery, vintage silver, china, cutlery, paintings and photographs. What do you collect?
