Here’s a two minute sneak peak behind the scenes of our first photo session using cobistyle products. It feels amazing to see two years of concept development turn into a blossoming collection of beautiful things.
Here’s a little introduction to my philosophy of decorating. We shot it in my own kitchen and studio when I was first developing the whole concept of cobistyle collection of beautiful ideas. Have a look.
We had a great time talking about what makes a house a home, on CTV News at Noon with Leanne Cusack, in Ottawa! Lee Anne Frederickson joins us as well - Lee Anne owns a wonderful shop called Dream Weaver in groovy Westboro (Ottawa’s coolest neighbourhood these days) and since her store’s focus is Canadian-made quality products, the cobistyle pillows and drapery fit right in! Have a look.
When you’re working on a home project, fabric stores can be overwhelming. This segment on CTV’s Marilyn Dennis Show features a trip to Fabricland where I talk about tips for your next trip. Following that, I talk with Marilyn in studio about how to mix different patterns in one room. Using colour as the ‘thread’ it’s easy to mix different patterns - florals, stripes, geometrics. Nothing adds interest and character in a room like fabric. Enjoy!
I was a guest on Samantha Pynn’s Christmas special called ‘The Party’. It’s a really cute show where Sam pays a visit to four very different homes - mine being the quintessential ‘family home in the ‘burbs of course’ - and she takes little ideas and inspiration from each designer/home and incorporates them into a party that she’s hosting. For my part, Sam focused on my dining table and how I traditionally decorate my dining room for the holidays. It was great fun being a part of the show - thanks Sam!
Here’s a fun little segment I did on BT Calgary in November. I figured we might as well talk about how to cozy up your place for the winter months, although I must say, Calgary gets so much amazing sunlight, they probably don’t even suffer from the winter blues the way the rest of us do!
Check out how we gave a drab living room a new lease on life! Back in studio with Marilyn, we talk about making colour the star against neutral walls and large furniture pieces. I also get to show off the amazing sashes we’ve developed for the cobistyle drapery program. Enjoy!
This is my last appearance on Season 4 of Steven & Chris - I’m gonna miss those guys! Check out the amazing house I toured for this episode - it’s Just Beachy! (as the homeowner, Chris Kauffman’s blog is called) and you’d never know it’s a brand new home on the outskirts of Toronto. I also have some fun with hip/hot Florals in studio with the guys, so click on the picture and take a moment to smell the roses!
Decor contributor, Michelle Mawby included cobistyle Heirloom drapes in her top 5 tips list for Spring decorating on CTV’s Marilyn.
Today’s episode takes us to a beautiful, bespoke home designed by the talented Jennifer Worts and then Steven and Chris help me decorate a neutral living space with one colour and then two.
In this episode I tour the colourful, bohemian-inspired home of designer Karen Cole and talk to the guys about decorating with heirlooms in ways that they do more than collect dust!
Host of Real Life, Sharon Caddy interviewed me in the cobistyle booth at the CGTA (a tradeshow of giftware and decor products) when we were launching the accessory line to retailers from all across Canada.
See how we decorated the set of cityline - cobistyle! and talked with host Tracy about living with colour.
Tour a glamorous yet still family-friendly house with me, designed by Feasby & Bleeks, and find out what your ‘colour personality’ is.
This was an easy piece to shoot - I just had to clean up my own kitchen! We toured my kitchen and talked about what makes it cozy and personal. Back at the studio we talked about elements that warm up other rooms in the house.
This is a news piece created while launching the cobistyle furniture line at the Decor-Rest showroom. It feels great to be out there telling the story of my new decor line after what feels like an eternity in secret development.
I froze my _____ off to shoot the outdoor part of this show, so you better watch it! I’m decorating front doors for the holidays. Inside we tackled mantles - a much warmer part of the house to decorate.
Here you will tour a beautiful little gem of a home in Toronto, designed by Feasby & Bleeks plus enjoy a studio segment featuring my top 5 classic, timeless pieces of furniture that will never date - smart investment pieces indeed!
This is a fun episode featuring an Entryway makeover where we prettied things up with accessories and then headed back to the studio where we talked about styling your bookcases (always one of my favourite things to do).
I can’t believe I’m posting this video - yup, that’s me dressed up as grumpy ol’ Auntie Em - the costume suited me perfectly! It was actually a lot of fun and there’s even a couple cute pumpkin decorating ideas in between laughs.
Everyone needs their own personal motif - it’s like having your own logo and is a wonderful way to personalize your decorating. Learn more about motifs and creating character at the exterior entryway of your home.
This episode features a terrific makeover of a small landing on a stairwell. We turned it into a ‘travel nook’ and the space comes to life in this show. We also create a ‘memory wall’ which is a great addition to any home.
This was my first appearance on Steven & Chris and we had a great time talking about my whole philosophy of personalizing your home and allowing your true colours to show through. Have a look!
