Cobi Ladner, past editor of Canadian House & Home magazine, is one of the country’s leading design and decorating authorities.
A frequent guest of national radio and television programs and on the pages of newspapers, magazines and a number of best selling design books, Cobi has a special connection with homeowners across Canada and into the United States.
Under her editorial direction, H&H became the bible of decorating and inspiration for all Canadians. During her 15 year tenure as Editor, readership grew from 619,000 to an astounding 2.5 million propelling the magazine into the top 5 of Canada’s publications.
The magazine concept evolved into a major Canadian home decor brand. With the development of many successful brand extensions, including books, merchandise, a television show and website, Cobi’s role expanded to Vice President of H&H Media. In addition, she acted as Editorial Director of Gardening Life Magazine.
After an enormously successful tenure at H&H, Cobi has now developed her own lifestyle brand. Her connection with readers and consumers is unmatched in the marketplace and she is thrilled about re-engaging her loyal fans with a vision of her own.
Cobi is also a past Director of the National Magazine Awards Foundation and Board of Directors of the Mississauga Living Arts Centre. She has also worked as an editor for Canada’s top two women’s general interest magazines, Chatelaine and Canadian Living. And she holds a degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University.
Cobi lives with her husband, Robert Brehl and their son, Aidan and daughter, Charlotte. She has authored one best selling children’s book “Why is an Orange called an Orange?” and is an active parent volunteer at her children’s schools.
